Report: Tottenham and other Premier League clubs want QPR star Ebere Eze

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Eberechi ‘Ebere’ Eze is being tracked by a host of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

According to a report by Football London, Tottenham and a number of other Premier League sides are tracking Eze. QPR could face a battle to hang onto their key asset in the January transfer window.

Eze has been in excellent form for the west London side this season, inspiring their promotion push. QPR currently sit fifth and that is largely thanks to Eze’s tally of six goals and two assists in 12 games.

The England U21 international operates in an attacking midfield role and he has shown his dribbling skills on a number of occasions this season. With three goals in his last two games, he is hitting form and attracting attention.

Back in August, Spurs and Southampton were linked with Eze (The Sun). It looks like there will be a multi-club chase for the 21-year-old with just over two months until the transfer window reopens.

TBR’s view

Eze has been lighting up the Championship for QPR over the past two seasons and it is no surprise to see clubs chasing him. In the summer, Spurs signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Eze is a similarly exciting youngster.

The former Millwall youngster has overcome rejection in the past to become a star in England’s second tier. He is only going to get better so he might be worth the gamble for a Tottenham side crying out for creativity.
