According to an exclusive report from 90min.com, Tottenham and Manchester City are among the first clubs to make a move for Real Madrid defender, Achraf Hakimi.

The flying full-back has been in scintillating form during a loan spell with Dortmund this season. His talents have been on full display in recent weeks, too, with English fans tuning into the Bundesliga to get their football fix.

Hakimi is well known for his blistering attacking displays in Germany. He’s hit double figures in assists this season already and has also notched five goals as well.

His form has not gone unnoticed, either. Arsenal have been credited with an interest, while Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane, has been keeping a watchful eye on his development.

However, it appears it is Spurs and City, who, along with Chelsea, are looking to make the first move.

Any interest from England will face competition from abroad. If Madrid do indeed decide to sell, it is believed the likes of Juventus and PSG could also make a move for Hakimi.

Tottenham needs a new right-back. Serge Aurier has not quite done it and they’ve not looked the same since Kieran Trippier moved to Spain.

Therefore, Hakimi would be a more than suitable signing for Jose Mourinho’s side. His performances speak for themselves this season, as do his numbers.

It’s hard, however, to fathom why Madrid might sell. But we’ve seen the La Liga giants shift players on before to free up funds for their own targets. Spurs fans will hope that is the case with Hakimi. It would also see them pinch a player from under the noses of Arsenal.

The Gunners were linked with Hakimi previously, with their fans calling on the club to sign him when the Bundesliga returned a few weeks back.
