Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool have both been linked with a move for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini of late. His form with the Italian side has caught the attention of both, with Paulo Fonseca said to want him at Spurs. Now, a new report identifies how much Pellegrini will cost.
Pellegrini, 24, has been in stunning form for Fonseca over the course of the last 12 months. Clocking up 47 appearances for Roma during 2020-21, the midfielder had a hand in 20 goals – scoring 11 and creating nine. It has attracted the attention of both Spurs and Liverpool this summer.
Interest from Spurs is hardly surprising. They are set to announce Paulo Fonseca this week. Il Messaggero claim he wants Pellegrini to join him. Meanwhile, According to the Mirror, Liverpool are also keen. Now, a new Mirror report says he will cost the sum of his release clause – £30million.

Which club suits Pellegrini most – Tottenham or Liverpool?
Pellegrini is a top, top player. An international, he is showing incredible talent and an end product at what is still a pretty young age. £30million for his services would be incredible business, by either side. Liverpool certainly need a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum and Pellegrini fits the bill.
But would he start? Realistically, with Thiago, Jordan Henderson and Fabinho in midfield – he probably does not get in initially. Meanwhile, under the manager that has brought the best out of him at Tottenham – he might just find his perfect home.
