Report: Tottenham and Juventus want Arkadiusz Milik

Premier League outfit Tottenham are back in the race to sign Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to a report from Tuttosport.

The talisman spent the 2020/21 season out on loan with Marseille. He bagged 10 goals and registered one assist during the campaign.

Milik only managed 16 games during his time in France and a permanent deal seems unlikely.

The 27-year-old knows where the back of the net is though and Tottenham are now set to revive their interest.

Celtic strike Premier Sports deal - is this the "additional value" we've been waiting for?

Spurs aren’t alone in the race to sign the player though. Juventus are another club mentioned in the article.

Milik has scored 48 goals in 122 appearances for Napoli but doesn’t appear to have a future with the Serie A outfit.

Tottenham could be in a position where the need a couple of strikers this summer.

Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club, whilst Carlos Vinicius will return to Benfica after his loan spell.

Would Milik shine at Tottenham?

He certainly has the potential to do so, although the fact he’s never played in the Premier League might represent a risk.

If Kane leaves, Tottenham need to pull out the stops to land a replacement and perhaps Milik would be joined by a stellar striker signing.

The Polish performer certainly knows where the back of the net is though and Tottenham could do a lot worse.

He’d represent an upgrade on the club’s current backup strikers and would give Tottenham something different in the final third.

Milik earns £85,000-a-week and that wouldn’t make him an overly expensive signing for Spurs.

Tottenham will be in the Europa Conference League next season but will have desires to get back into the Champions League.

Milik is a decent player and his goalscoring record across Europe is pretty decent.

He could be exactly the player Tottenham need to break back into the Premier League’s top four.
