Tottenham are reportedly interested in signing midfielder Ibrahim Sangare from French top-flight club Toulouse.

According to L’Equipe, Spurs are joined by Premier League rivals Everton in showing an interest in the 21-year-old.

The report details that the Ivory Coast prospect would prefer one more season with Ligue 1 club Toulouse before making any big money move.

It is understood that a deal between £17.75million and £22.2million though this summer could tempt the club into a potential sale.

Sangare is a rising talent in Ligue 1 and he appears to have all the tools to succeed in the Premier League if he chooses.

The defensive midfielder is a powerhouse that breaks up play well and was one of the outstanding individuals for his team this season.

TBR’s View:

Spurs will have to pay a sizeable fee if they want Sangare, but he’s got so much room to grow and is a rising star.

The all-action midfielder is exactly the type of signing manager Mauricio Pochettino needs this summer, as they still have a void from when Mousa Dembele exited in January.

Spurs need to add some more options in the centre of the park to apply some real pressure on Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks for starting positions.

Sangare looks a young star worth taking a gamble on, but his desire to stay in France another year could prove tricky.
