Report: Tottenham and Everton have both added £12m speedster to their list of attacking targets
Both Tottenham and Everton are keen on signing Clermont striker, Mohamed Bayo, according to reports from France today.
Foot Mercato makes the claim, suggesting that the Premier League duo are the latest in a long list of clubs to take a fancy towards Bayo. The Guinea international scored 14 goals last season in Ligue 1 as he made a big impression on proceedings. Indeed, it was only in December that West Ham were thought to be keen on the forward.
Foot Mercato claims that Bayo could be available for around £12m. Of course, that sort of money wouldn’t put Everton or Tottenham off, who are both looking to add more players to their squads this summer.
24-year-old Bayo is also wanted by a number of other European clubs. However, he could see the lure of Premier League football too good to turn down, as well as the chance to work with big names like Frank Lampard and Antonio Conte.
In Everton’s case, Bayo could give them a cheap replacement for the departed Richarlison. The Toffees cashed in on the Brazilian just last week, selling him to Tottenham, coincidentally.

Among all the big money signings, there are always a few cheaper ones that come in and do a grand job, and Mo Bayo might just be one of them.
The pacey striker has a bit about that suggests he’d be suited to Premier League football if given a chance. Pace, power, and as his 14 goals show, a good bit of prowess in front of goal.
At around the £12m mark, Bayo is a bit of a low-risk gamble. Indeed, you could see him at Everton more than Tottenham at this moment in time, just because of their need to replace Richarlison.
