Tottenham Hotspur are one of the clubs keen on signing Habib Diallo from FC Metz.
According to a report by TEAMtalk, Tottenham and Chelsea have joined the race for Diallo. Leicester City and Newcastle United are also interested in the prolific striker.
Diallo has caught the eye this season, scoring eight times in 12 starts. This comes after he netted 26 times last season to help Metz win promotion back to Ligue 1.
The 24-year-old is highly-rated by his club but an offer of £10m would be enough to prise him away. Diallo could be set for a Premier League move this January with numerous clubs pondering a bid in the new year.
Diallo has only ever played in France during his career but he could be on the move this January. Chelsea currently have a transfer embargo but Frank Lampard is planning in case it gets lifted. Meanwhile, Spurs are struggling and Mauricio Pochettino wants a back-up striker.
If Diallo joins one of these four clubs, he will have an interesting project in the Premier League. The Senegal international would be Harry Kane’s back-up striker at Tottenham so he is likely to get minutes under his belt.
At Chelsea, he might struggle to replace Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi (and Olivier Giroud if he stays). Leicester could offer him a back-up role if Kelechi Iheanacho leaves. But his best option might be Newcastle, who have only managed one goal from a striker all season.
