Tottenham have reportedly agreed a fee with Belgian club Club Brugge to sell them enforcer Victor Wanyama.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs have agreed to sell the Kenyan midfielder for £12million and he looks set for the exit doors.

The 28-year-old looks to be heading on his way out of the North London club and heading back to Belgium, where he started his first-team career with Beerschot.

Wanyama ended up joining Spurs in 2016 and he’s been a brilliant servant with 93 appearances for the club

But the no-nonsense central midfielder has fallen down the pecking and not played a single minute for Mauricio Pochettino’s side this campaign.

The powerhouse was brilliant next to Mousa Dembele in the Spurs midfield during his first season with the club, but injuries have impacted his progress and he’s now close to departing.

TBR’s View:

Wanyama should be fondly remembered for the excellent first year he had at Spurs and at his peak he was a colossus in the centre of the park.

The defensive midfielder can break up play so well and is the perfect cover for the backline.

With injuries catching up with him, it makes sense to bow out of the Premier League and hopefully he enjoys a return to Belgium.

Spurs are now in a new era where midfielders such as Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso are under the spotlight.
