German club Wolfsburg are reportedly close to securing a deal for Manchester City player Lukas Nmecha.
Wolfsburg, who finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season, are set to land the 22-year-old.
According to the Daily Mail, they are close to reaching a fee worth £11.2million for the young centre-forward.
The report explains that Wolfsburg have edged ahead of RB Leipzig, who were at one stage frontrunners.
Nmecha has been on the books at Man City as a kid, but it looks like he could depart on a permanent basis this summer.
The striker scored 21 goals in 41 appearances during a brilliant loan spell at Anderlecht last season, so that’s attracted interest from clubs in Germany.
In addition, he scored four times this summer to help Germany win the Under-21 European Championship. This included the winner in the final against Portugal.

Nmecha can have big future away from Manchester City
For Nmecha, a permanent move in time for next season looks like a positive step in his career.
It’s a tall order for anybody to break into the senior squad at the Etihad Stadium because of the amount of superstars, but you shouldn’t rule Nmecha out from reaching the top in the future.
He’s a quick forward who’s clinical in front of goal. So, he could be a great buy for Wolfsburg at around the £11million transfer price.
