The Bristol Post have claimed Aston Villa winger Albert Adomah is a summer target for three Championship clubs, in the form of Millwall, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest.
Adomah, 31, is set to leave Villa on a free transfer this summer, joining the likes of Mile Jedinak, Glenn Whelan, Alan Hutton and Tommy Elphick and more in departing despite the club’s promotion to the Premier League.
The Ghana international failed to replicate his 2017-18 form which saw him score 15 goals and lay on seven assists in 44 league and cup fixtures. Last time around, he only netted four times in 42 matches.
Now, Adomah is to leave Villa on a free but he will have the pick of some of Championship’s play-off contenders in Bristol City and Forest, as well as a move to Millwall who finished in 21st place last term.
Adomah is a very solid Championship player and although he has lost a yard of pace, he is still more than capable of starting for any of the three interested parties next season.
Of his 42 outings last term, he only started 27 times. Given the confidence that he is a regular starter, Adomah could reignite his 2017-18 form and go from strength to strength.
At Millwall, Forest and Bristol City he would be able to start. On a free transfer and with plenty of promotion experience after time with Villa and Middlesbrough, Adomah is a bargain.
