Reported Arsenal and Everton target, Thiago Silva, will command around €10m a season in wages should either Premier League side wish to land the Brazilian.
Silva is set to leave PSG this summer after his contract expires. And despite being 35, the news has instigated a clamour around Europe to land the experienced star.

Along with Arsenal and Everton, the likes of AC Milan and Fiorentina are said to be keen. However, whoever does make their move will need to find a big chunk of change, with Football Italia claiming Silva will command around €10m-a-year.
Those sorts of sums are mammoth, meaning Silva would be looking to earn around £300,000-a-week in what is likely to be his final contract in Europe.
It could mean, then, that both Everton and Arsenal have to dip out of the race. The Gunners are struggling to keep hold of the likes of Aubameyang and Ozil because of wages. It seems unlikely, then, that they’ll fork out for Silva.

Everton, meanwhile, simply won’t be able to or want to pay that sort of money. Especially, for a 35-year-old.
Move on if this is the case, it’s simply too much money – TBR View
While Thiago Silva would bring something to either club mentioned here in England, on those wages, it is almost ridiculous to even entertain.
The amount would have been questionable last summer, not to mention a summer coming off the back of a global financial downturn.
For all his ability, class, and winning mentality, it’s simply not worth the effort and cash for Arsenal or Everton.
