Jordan Stevens may not be the only Leeds United youngster to join Swindon Town this summer, with the Yorkshire Evening Post reporting on their live transfer blog (5/10; 10:21) that Robbie Gotts is also on their radar.
Gotts has been linked with a loan move away from Elland Road for much of the summer. He is yet to feature in the Premier League for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
He has been a prominent fixture on the bench during Bielsa’s tenure. And he made a major impression when he finally got to make his first-team debut against Arsenal in the FA Cup in January.
Bielsa previously admitted, in comments reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, that he felt guilty about how little game-time Gotts had enjoyed.
So it would arguably come as little surprise if he does secure a loan. And according to the Yorkshire Evening Post’s live transfer blog (5/10; 10:21), Swindon want Gotts.
The Robins have already brought in Stevens. He made a fantastic start to life at the County Ground with a superb goal on his debut.
If Bielsa is willing to let Stevens move to Swindon, the League One side may feel confident about their chances of signing Gotts as well.
But of course, it is not a move that needs to be finalised before Monday’s initial deadline.
