Tottenham Hotspur have recently been linked with a move for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic and it seems the Serbian could be available at a bargain price next summer.
As reported by La Nazione a week ago Jose Mourinho is apparently insisting on a move for the player, who was said to be valued at around £22.5 million.
However, that price-tag now looks optimistic, based on more recent reports.
CalcioMercato is suggesting that Milenkovic will be sold in the summer if he has not signed a new deal with La Viola by Christmas. That is because his contract in Florence expires in the summer of 2022 and the club is not in a financial position to allow an asset of his calibre leave for free or see his value degrade dramatically.

If no deal can be reached between Fiorentina and Milenkovic by Christmas, then a summer sale for half of their previous value might be considered. That means Milenkovic might be available for a figure in the region of just £11.25 million this winter.
The report does point out that Fiorentina are confident of getting ink on paper for the player soon and that Milenkovic is not entirely opposed to the idea of remaining in Florence.
But with Tottenham boss Mourinho seemingly still on the hunt for another centre-back, that bargain price for a 23-year-old international might be music to the ears of Daniel Levy.
