Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in Joachim Andersen has been well reported this summer. With the future of Toby Alderweireld seemingly in doubt, Spurs have been linked with a move for the Danish international.
The player himself recently informed the media in Denmark that he was ready for a new challenge away from Italian club Sampdoria.
Tottenham fans, however, are often skeptical of any transfer interest. Daniel Levy often lets the supporters down when it comes to negotiating deals. Many will simply feel Tottenham are not likely to win a bidding war for the player.
However, according to local media in Italy, that is currently the case.

ANSA are reporting on the interest in Andersen this summer. The report is based in the Liguria region, where Genoa-based Sampdoria play.
They suggest that Sampdoria’s €35 million (£31.2 million) asking price is a firm one. They also state that despite interest from Roma, AC Milan and Lyon, only Tottenham Hotspur have indicated that they would be willing to pay that fee.
It would be a welcome change for Tottenham fans if they actually did outbid rival clubs for a player of Andersen’s potential.
However, not many Tottenham fans will believe much until something official emerges regarding the interest.
But if Tottenham are leading the bidding war, it would be a happy change of tact for fans.
