Despite reports of an apparent Barcelona move, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has not agreed any deal with the Catalan club. That is according to Les Parisien, who have released an update on the midfielder’s future.
Rabiot is out of contract in the summer and teams from across Europe are scrambling to sign the brilliant midfielder.
Les Parisien has reported that PSG are still hopeful of keeping the player. However, they are prepared to sell him in January if no extension can be agreed. PSG do not want to lose him on a free transfer. The report continues that PSG will be open to talks with clubs they are on ‘friendly’ terms with. The two teams mentioned? Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur.

For Tottenham fans, it is surely a reason to be excited.
Rabiot is almost the perfect replacement for Mousa Dembele in the heart of midfield. In fact, he is essentially an upgrade on the Belgian.
Tottenham have of course done business with PSG before. Serge Aurier was first and then last winter they signed Lucas Moura. That deal, a £25 million piece of business, has proved to be a success for Spurs and doing a similar deal for Rabiot could be the game-changing addition Tottenham need in central midfield.
With his contract expiring and Tottenham one of two teams PSG want to deal with, this could be the deal of the winter if Spurs can get the cash together.
