Tottenham Hotspur remain in the hunt for coveted Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The 22-year-old is thought to be one of Spurs’ top targets this summer.
The French club are understood to value their man at around €80 million (£70 million), but could be open to selling for a slightly lower figure if the price is right.

football.london have pointed to previous transfers involving Lyon that would suggest Tottenham actually stand a chance of getting Ndombele for significantly less than.
The report explains that Lyon sold Samuel Umtiti to Barcelona for £24 million, after initially asking for £28 million.
In 2017, Arsenal signed Alexandre Lacazette for £46.5 million having been quoted £60 million at first.
Mariano Diaz joined Real Madrid last summer. He was valued at £48 million, but Lyon ended up selling him for £30 million.
TBR’s view
History certainly seems to suggest that Lyon will be willing to part with a smaller fee for Ndombele.
Spurs will still have to smash their transfer record to sign him, but the evidence is there that they can save cash if they are shrewd enough.

Daniel Levy has proven himself to be a great negotiator down the years so there’s every chance the Champions League runners-up can secure themselves a discount on this deal.
Ndombele would be an absolutely fantastic signing for the north London outfit, and would be a solid Mousa Dembele replacement.
