Tottenham Hotspur are one of the Premier League sides monitoring Weston McKennie in case Juventus decide against triggering the option in his loan move, according to a report from Italian outlet Calciomercato.It.
McKennie is currently on loan with the Old Lady from Schalke. According to the report, the Serie A giants have paid around £4.1 million to take the American for the season.

It is suggested that they have the option to make the deal permanent for £16.8 million plus bonuses.
In truth, it is difficult to see Juve not taking up the option. McKennie has made seven starts in the top flight. Meanwhile, he has also made five appearances in the Champions League.

But should Andrea Pirlo’s side decide against keeping McKennie, it appears that a host of Premier League clubs would be interested.
According to Calciomercato. It, Spurs, Manchester United and Chelsea are all admirers of the 22-year-old.
In Spurs’ case, it is suggested McKennie – who can play in a variety of midfield roles – could be seen as a possible replacement for Dele Alli amid question marks over his future.
Only six members of Pirlo’s squad have more league starts than McKennie this season. So it seems highly unlikely that he will be on the market next summer.
Having said that, there is plenty of time left before the season ends. So perhaps taking a gamble and continuing to monitor McKennie could pay off for one of the Premier League sides.
