Report suggests proposed transfer could help Arsenal land January target

Arsenal could receive a transfer boost if Pablo Sarabia completes a €20 million (£17.8 million) move to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to AS, the midfielder is set to become a PSG player in the coming days, with the just the finer details to be ironed out.

The French champions have seemingly fended off the likes of Atletico Madrid, Valencia and even Barcelona for the 27-year-old, who has been with Sevilla since 2016.

Having scored 23 goals and made 19 assists in 2018/19, it looks as though PSG are getting themselves a top player.

Interestingly, football.london suggest that such a transfer could now make it easier for Arsenal to sign Christopher Nkunku.

TBR’s view

Arsenal were linked with a loan move for Nkunku in January (The Sun) but a move never materialised.

The Gunners ended up signing Denis Suarez instead, a move that is now best forgotten about.

Nkunku now has just 12 months remaining on his contract meaning he could be available at a cut-price fee.

football.london go on to say that he could be available for as little as £13.5 million, which would surely appeal to Unai Emery given his lack of funds this summer.

Emery was the man to give Nkunku – who wants to leave the Parc des Princes – his break at PSG, meaning this move could have legs.
