Tottenham Hotspur are on the hunt for midfield recruits for this summer. The club still needs to replace Mousa Dembele in the heart of midfield whilst Christian Eriksen could be on his way out. With Victor Wanyama and Eric Dier in poor form, it is an area that Tottenham need to improve.
One player who has been linked with the club is Julian Draxler. The German is seemingly surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain.
Top Mercato also reported the news. They stated that Spurs, along with Bayern Munich and Inter Milan, were interested in the player who was being valued at £35.3 million.
However, that does not appear to be the case. The Mirror are reporting that Tottenham have absolutely no interest in the German international. Instead, they are fully focused on securing number one transfer target Giovani Lo Celso from Real Betis.
The report also states that Tottenham were offered Pablo Sarabia of Sevilla, but made it clear they are not interested once again.
Draxler would have been a great addition to the Tottenham team, especially as a like for like replacement for Eriksen.
However, it appears Draxler does not fit into Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and will not be heading to North London.
