Newcastle United are reportedly not keen on keeping Austrian talent Valentin Lazaro beyond his loan spell at the club.
That is according to a report from CalcioMercato regarding the future of the 24-year-old right-sided talent.
They claim that Newcastle do have a €20 million (£18m) option to buy the player. However, it is suggested that both clubs cannot come to terms over a revised fee considering the current global health situation.
Given that Lazaro has barely had a chance to show Newcastle his talents since his January loan switch, a permanent move is now looking increasingly unlikely. It is believed he will return to Inter Milan where there is apparently ‘already a strategy’ for Lazaro’s future.

It is likely that Inter will be looking to use Lazaro in swap deals, which are set to become a major part of the upcoming transfer window because of the financial impact of the health crisis.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are likely to be under new ownership by the next transfer window and that could also mean new coaching staff, who may not see Lazaro as part of their plans.
Lazaro, who has scored one goal in five appearances for the Magpies, will, therefore, be best off either trying to find his feet back at Inter or, perhaps, moving on elsewhere.
