Leeds United are reportedly one of several clubs said to be keeping an eye on Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Lovro Majer, who has been compared to a young Luka Modric by some in the media.

That is according to a report from CalcioMercato, who claim that AC Milan are currently upping their own interest in the player.

The 22-year-old has also reportedly caught the eye of Borussia Dortmund, Fiorentina, Valencia, and Sevilla as well as the Rossoneri.

But Leeds have been scouting him, according to the report, although no suggestion of a future move for the player is made.

However, if the West Yorkshire side are to bring him in, it appears he will not come cheap.

According to a report from Majer’s homeland, his current club would want around €10 million, at least, to make a deal happen.

Sportska Centrala is suggesting that the midfield maestro would cost around £9 million if Leeds, or any of the several interested clubs, wanted to lure him away from the Croatian capital in the near future.

Considering his lack of experience in a top European league, that might seem like too big of a risk for a club like Leeds, even if Majer has been compared to a former Ballon d’Or winner.

Time will tell if Leeds do end up making a move for Majer. But it seems they now have an asking price should they pull the trigger.
