The Athletic reports that Liverpool have no interest in the Lille defender Sven Borman.
The Reds have been linked with a move for several centre-backs in recent weeks. One such player has been the French-based star.
It was first reported just before Christmas by Foot Mercato that Liverpool were keen before transfer journalist Duncan Castles claimed contact had been made over a deal on the Transfer Window podcast.
However, Athletic writer James Pearce has made it clear that Liverpool have no intention of signing the Dutchman this month.

The initial report from FM suggested a price of £27 million for Botman. Varying reports have even suggested a lower fee for a player who has enjoyed a stellar start to first-team life in Ligue 1.

His form has helped Lille sustain a title challenge in the early running against PSG.
With Liverpool suffering at centre-back this season because of injuries, Jurgen Klopp has had to use the likes of Nathaniel Phillips and Rhys Williams with surprising regularity.
But they have performed admirably and, at present, Liverpool appear willing to go with the squad they have got until the end of the campaign.
Botman has impressed for Lille, but is still very inexperienced and would be something of a gamble to pay such big money for.
Liverpool would be wrong not to have Botman on their radar for the future, but avoiding a deal in January might be the right decision.
