Report suggests Leicester City target Baptiste Santamaria will cost £13m
A report in Italy has suggested how much Leicester City may have to pay for Baptiste Santamaria in the next transfer window.
The Foxes are said to be keen on the French midfielder’s services for next season. The Express recently reported that Leicester have been tracking the player and hope he can have a N’Golo Kante like impact at the King Power Stadium.
The report also credited Everton and Tottenham as being keen, whilst Aston Villa have previously failed in a £9 million move for the player, as reported by RMC.
Santamaria has informed Telefoot this week of his desire to leave current club Angers in the summer and the French side reportedly (L’Equipe) promised the 25-year-old he could leave the club after one more season after Villa’s failed attempt.
So it seems all systems are go, if Leicester do indeed want to bring in the player.
Now, according to a report from AreaNapoli, the price-tag has been revealed. Napoli are also keen on Santamaria and the report claims a €15 million (£13m) bid could see him on his way out of Angers.
At that price, Santamaria could be a potential bargain in the current market and could very well follow in the footsteps of Kante. He also arrived on the cheap from an unfancied French outfit before conquering the Premier League with the Foxes and, subsequently, Chelsea.
Leicester City fans will be hoping for a repeat.
