Report suggests Juan Foyth could make move to Galatasaray

Reports in Turkey are suggesting that Galatasaray are interested in Tottenham Hotspur defender Juan Foyth. Sporx claims that the Turkish side are keen on the Argentine, who appears to have fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho.

The report also suggests that Victor Wanyama could be a target, with Galatasaray manager Fatih Terim’s ‘close friendship’ with Mourinho reportedly helping the Turkish side in their bid to get a deal done.

The young Argentine has often threatened to make the breakthrough into the Tottenham first-team but a poor display against Norwich recently has seen him fall out of favour.

The emergence of Japhet Tanganga and a new contract for Toby Alderweireld have not made things easier for Foyth.

Indeed, as reported by Football.London, Foyth wants regular first-team football and could leave the club before the end of January.

Of course, there is still potential there, so selling Foyth outright might not be the best course of action.

However, a loan deal in Istanbul could surely be a good move for the 22-year-old. It would allow him a chance to develop and play regular football and give Tottenham the chance to still reap the benefits of his talent going forward.
