Hector Bellerin is thought to be open to leaving Arsenal this summer, with The Telegraph reporting that the Gunners are considering potential sales that may hand their transfer kitty a boost.
Mikel Arteta’s men ended last season in style by winning the FA Cup. But they would have been left under no illusions regarding how much work is still ahead despite the Wembley triumph.
The Telegraph notes that Arsenal have received a huge boost this summer with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang providing verbal promises that he will sign a new deal.
But it appears that the club will also be moving players on. And The Telegraph has suggested that Bellerin is one of those who could be sold.
Interestingly, the report adds that the Spaniard is thought be open to the idea of leaving the Emirates.
TBR View: Time may be right for Bellerin to leave Arsenal
Bellerin has been an excellent servant for the Gunners. And it would surely disappoint a lot of supporters if he did leave this summer.
But perhaps, now may be the right time for the full-back to leave.
He played more of a peripheral role this past season, making just 13 Premier League starts.
Spotrac shows that he is not one of the club’s highest earners, but he is still on £110,000-a-week. So if he is not going to play regularly, it may arguably make sense for all parties for Bellerin to move on.
