Report suggests Everton target Isco not keen on loan and Real Madrid have high demands

Everton might have a task on their hands if they try to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco on loan this January, according to reports.

It was reported by The Mirror at the start of the month that Everton were hoping to sign the Spaniard on loan until the end of the season with a view to completing an £18 million deal next summer.

The move makes sense, considering Isco’s good previous working relationship with Carlo Ancelotti.

Ancelotti even spoke about a potential deal for Isco earlier this month.

“Isco is a fantastic player and [I have] a fantastic memory of him,” Ancelotti told the Liverpool ECHO. “But now I am not, honestly, focused there. I am focused on an important week we are going to have to recover players and to be well prepared for the game against United.”

However, a report from OK Diario has suggested where Everton might struggle with the loan aspect of any deal.

They report that Isco is not keen on any loan move, preferring to remain at the Bernabeu or head elsewhere permanently. That would mean Everton committing to the summer permanent transfer in order to get a deal together.

On top of that, Real Madrid are said to be fairly adamant on insisting on 100 percent of his wages getting paid by any potential loan club.

The Express has previously reported that Isco is on £120,000-a-week in the Spanish capital, which would be a hefty wage for Everton to pay.

It certainly seems as though there is a deal here to be done but Everton will have some way to go if they want to secure Isco on an initially temporary spell.
