If former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino decides he wants another job in the Premier League this season, it would be an expensive decision.
That is according to a report from The Express, who claim that the Argentine would have to pay Tottenham back his termination fee.
They claim that Daniel Levy negotiated a £12.5 million payout with Pochettino before relieving him of his duties. But that deal also contained a clause which made it clear a return to Premier League management in the 2019-20 campaign would see him have to pay that money back.

TBR’s View
Whilst to some it may seem a spiteful move, Tottenham’s chairman has done a good job in ensuring his club do not have to come up against a Pochettino-managed side in English football again this season.
With the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and even Everton, all tentatively linked with the Argentine after his Spurs departure, it is a shrewd move from Levy who will not want to go up against the ex-Tottenham fan favourite.
But considering the salary he could command at any Premier League club, it remains to be seen if this would truly have the repellent impact Levy is hoping for.
