Aston Villa have a fight on their hands to sign Said Benrahma this summer, after the latest update from The Sun.
The report suggests Brentford have slapped a massive £20 million valuation on the player to put potential suitors off the scent for the Algerian international
Le10 Sport reported last weekend that Aston Villa had made a bid totaling £8.9 million for the player. That is clearly short of Brentford’s valuation.

The Sun’s latest report suggest Aston Villa would like to go as high as £10 million for the player, but will not meet a £20 million valuation.
TBR’s View
It makes sense that Aston Villa want Benrahma. He was sensational at Griffin Park last season, with 11 goals and 17 assists. Being known to Dean Smith, who left Brentford to guide Aston Villa to promotion, also adds to the story.
But Brentford, as shown with their previous Neal Maupay valuation, will not be pushed around by anyone in the transfer market.
Aston Villa should certainly not give up on Benrahma and if a good middle ground can be found the 23-year-old would be an excellent addition. However, if the price stays at £20 million, Aston Villa should look elsewhere.
