A report regarding Chelsea’s apparent interest in PSG youngster Kays Ruiz-Atil may give Arsenal renewed hope in their own pursuit of the player.

It was recently reported that Chelsea were leading the way to sign the 17-year-old ahead of their North London rivals.

Foot Mercato reported in February that the ex-Barcelona youngster was looking for a move from the French capital after not receiving assurances of first-team involvement at the Parcs des Princes.

That interest re-emerged this week. However, it appeared Arsenal had been bested by Chelsea. L’Equipe reported this week, as reported by GFFN, that contact with other clubs had ceased as Ruiz-Atil was Stamford Bridge bound.

However, Goal.com are now reporting that Chelsea have pulled out of any deal. The report claims that Arsenal’s London rivals have informed the player’s representatives that they will not be pursuing their interest any further.

It means the pathway is open yet again for Arsenal to swoop on the teenage talent, who was once PSG’s youngest-ever outfield professional.

With the Gunners looking to bring in good talent at low cost, then a move for Ruiz-Atil could be the perfect option.
