According to Kicker, VFB Stuttgart are hoping to keep Arsenal defender, Konstantinos Mavropanos, for next season.
The German outlet reports the news in the wake of fellow Stuttgart defender Marc-Oliver Kempf being on his way out of the club. Kicker claims Kempf could leave this summer for around £12m, having yet to sign fresh terms.
Kicker reports that Stuttgart are now planning for his departure and want to once again sign Arsenal defender Mavropanos again next season. The Greek star has enjoyed a good campaign this year, making 20 appearances.

Arsenal could be tempted to once again allow Mavropanos go out on loan, despite some Gunners fans being keen to see him given a chance in North London. Much like William Saliba, he is a young-ish defender on the Gunners’ books who they’ve seen little of.
Mavropanos spent last season in Germany, too. He played for Nuremburg before sealing a move to Stuttgart in the summer of 2020.
TBR View: Arsenal should either sell Mavropanos, or give him a chance
There is surely no point in Arsenal sending the defender out on another loan, eating another year of his contract up, and then being in the same position next summer.
If Mikel Arteta isn’t going to play him, then the club might as well try and cash in and get some money for the Greek star. His current Arsenal deal runs until 2023, so the time is now really if they are to sell.
