Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo have claimed any chance of loan side Real Sociedad signing Everton striker Sandro Ramirez have “dissipated”, meaning Ramirez is set to return Goodison Park.
The 23-year-old flopped at Everton after moving to Merseyside for £5.2million (Mail) in the summer of 2017. He managed just one goal in 16 appearances, before being sent on loan to Sevilla.
He failed to score in 18 appearances for the La Liga outfit. His lack of goals did not deter Real Sociedad, who decided to sign him on a loan-to-buy deal last summer.
But after 26 appearances, Ramirez has failed to score a single goal for the Spanish side. Because of that, any hope Ramirez may have had of landing a permanent deal with Sociedad, has “dissipated”.
It looks as though Ramirez may have to return to Everton. He has a contract at Goodison Park until the summer of 2021.

TBR’s view
Everton have simply got to find the first buyer for Ramirez and offload him. He simply is not good enough for Everton, and needs to join a team where he is given regular first-team football.
Even though Everton desperately need a striker, Ramirez is miles below the likes of Dom Calvert-Lewin and even Cenk Tosun. Selling him should be an obvious decision for Marcel Brands and Marco Silva.
