Sky Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has published a report that includes a picture of Tottenham Hotspur’s transfer chief Steve Hitchen in Milan, as Spurs look to secure a deal to sign Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.
Skriniar, 25, has been one of Inter Milan’s best players over the course of the 2019-20 campaign despite competition from the likes of Diego Godin, Alessandro Bastoni and Andrea Ranocchia. He has played 128 times for Inter over the last three seasons.
Di Marzio claimed earlier this week that Spurs had opened talks for Slovakia powerhouse Skriniar, and he has now published a report alongside a picture of Hitchen in Milan. Inter want £55million for Skriniar, but Spurs are working to reduce that.
Indeed, the latest report claims Spurs are ready to pay £46million in a deal that includes an upfront payment and bonuses. It is believed Skriniar is keen on a move to north London and Tottenham, despite having a contract at Inter until 2023.

TBR’s view – Skriniar is quickly becoming one of Europe’s best
The centre-back has starred for Inter – especially under Antonio Conte – even on the Champions League stage. Certainly, he is worth the kind of figures being mentioned and Spurs landing the defender would be a proper coup.
Spurs have already signed Gareth Bale on loan, Sergio Reguilon, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – spending the best part of £60million. Now, they could take that figure beyond £100million and Skriniar would be worth it.
