Steve Bruce is keen to see Yoshinori Muto sold by Newcastle United this summer, the Athletic report.
On the way out?
Newcastle are low on numbers up-front, following the departure of Andy Carroll.
However, Bruce is still said to be keen to see Muto depart.
The Japanese forward joined Newcastle three years ago, but he has badly struggled for game time.
Just one goal
Muto still has just one Premier League goal for the Magpies, and it is claimed that Bruce just doesn’t seem to rate him enough to chance him.
If Newcastle are to sell Muto then they really do risk leaving themselves short up top.

At the moment Callum Wilson will lead the line, but a great deal of pressure will be on him to stay fit.
Beyond Wilson, Newcastle only really have Dwight Gayle and Joelinton who could play as a number nine, although neither have been particularly prolific at Premier League level.
Newcastle are unlikely to receive much money for Muto to help fund a replacement, either.
His struggles since signing mean that any interested parties are unlikely to pay big money, and that could leave Newcastle making a significant loss on a player they paid £10 million to sign in 2018 (Daily Mail).
