Stefano Pioli can be added to the list of names who reportedly rejected the chance to manage Spurs, with Gazzetta Dello Sport claiming that he turned down an approach this summer.
Nuno Espirito Santo looks to have made an encouraging start to life at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

And it seems that he certainly needed to. It seems to be no secret that he was not the club’s first-choice as they looked to replace Jose Mourinho permanently.
Figures such as Antonio Conte, Paulo Fonseca and Graham Potter were amongst those who the club apparently failed to land.
Unfortunately, it would now appear that another name decided against a move when Spurs came calling.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Pioli also snubbed Tottenham.
Pioli helped take AC Milan back into the Champions League places in his first full season at San Siro.
Remarkably, the Rossoneri will make their first appearance in the competition this season since 2013/14.
Pioli decision to reject Spurs may divide fans
It is probably little surprise that he was seemingly on Fabio Paratici’s radar. Paratici has shown that he is not in favour on closing the door on potential targets until the final moments of a pursuit.
And Pioli has managed a number of Italy’s biggest clubs, including Milan’s biggest rivals Inter.
It is not clear at what stage of Tottenham’s search Pioli decided against a potential move.
But the reports may well divide fans. Some may look at his work at Milan and feel that he would have been a fantastic option.
Others may be less convinced given just how many clubs he has worked for. He has not yet overseen 100 games for a single side. So some may feel that it is not necessarily a huge blow to miss out.
