Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Lille goalkeeper Mike Maignan as a potential replacement for Hugo Lloris, according to a report from L’Equipe (via Foot Mercato).
Lloris looks to be edging towards the latter stages of his Spurs career. As noted by Foot Mercato, the 34-year-old is out of contract in North London in 2022.

He has been an incredible servant for Tottenham. However, criticism of his form and individual performances is starting to become a little more common.
And it appears that Spurs may be considering potential replacements. According to L’Equipe, Maignan is on their radar.

It is suggested that the 25-year-old has an asking price of around £21.5 million (€25 million).
Interestingly, the report seems to hint that that could open the door for Lloris – who earns £100,000-a-week, according to Spotrac – to potentially join Manchester United.
TBR View: Maignan may be ready to follow in Lloris’s footsteps
Maignan – who is also on AC Milan’s radar – is proving to be one of the most impressive goalkeepers in Ligue 1 this season. According to FBRef, no stopper in the league has conceded fewer goals per 90 minutes this term.
Meanwhile, only Keylor Navas boasts a better save percentage, and only two goalkeepers have cut out a higher percentage of crosses.
Spurs struck gold when they signed a goalkeeper from Ligue 1 nearly a decade ago. Perhaps they may now be hoping to repeat the trick this summer.
