Tottenham Hotspur want Boubakary Soumare this summer, but the Sunday People (11/4; page 47) claims that it is Leicester City who lead the race to sign the 22-year-old.
Soumare has made 26 Ligue 1 appearances this term for Lille, who lead the table with six games remaining. And it appears that he may soon be on his way to the Premier League.

A number of teams are interested in the central midfielder. The Sunday People (11/4; page 47) claims that Manchester United, Spurs and Leicester all want the France under-21 international.
However, it is suggested that the Foxes are confident of signing Soumare. The report claims that Brendan Rodgers’ men are growing increasingly hopeful of a £30 million move.

Soumare looks to have the potential to be a hugely impressive signing for any of his Premier League admirers.
He is one of the most exciting box-to-box midfield talents coming through anywhere in Europe.
For Spurs, it would arguably be a blow to miss out. Jose Mourinho could arguably do with greater quality in the middle of the park.
Tottenham do have Oliver Skipp coming back from a brilliant loan spell at Norwich. And Tanguy Ndombele has enjoyed a much better season.
But adding Soumare’s energy alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg would be a huge boost, and would perhaps allow Ndombele to contribute more often further up the pitch.
However, Tottenham seemingly have ground to make up if they indeed hope to sign the youngster.
