Spurs are planning to look into whether a deal for Yves Bissouma is possible before the transfer deadline passes, according to a report from the Sunday Mirror (29/8; page 66).
Tottenham have been incredibly busy in this window. And one of the most recent deals they agreed involved Moussa Sissoko joining Watford permanently.

It looked to be an incredibly shrewd piece of business from Spurs. And perhaps it may be about to look even better.
The Sunday Mirror (29/8; page 66) reports that Sissoko’s exit has freed up some space in the midfield. And the player they would like to replace him with is Bissouma.

Nuno Espirito Santo is an admirer of the Brighton star. And Tottenham will now look into whether a move could take place.
The Mirror does suggest that the Seagulls value Bissouma at £40 million. And based on the start he has made to the season, it seems unlikely that they will have any interest in a compromise.
Replacing Sissoko with Bissouma would be a masterstroke from Spurs
Bissouma is establishing himself as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders.
He is outstanding in a box-to-box role, and reads the game incredibly well.
He is prepared to get stuck in. But he also shows superb composure when in possession.
And given that he only turns 25 tomorrow, there looks to be no reason why he cannot continue to develop further.
Admittedly, his asking price looks to be a real stumbling block. But Spurs fans will be delighted if there is scope for a deal.
If they manage to replace Sissoko with Bissouma, it should be an absolute masterstroke from Fabio Paratici.
