Spurs manager Nuno Espirito Santo will decide tonight if he feels Harry Kane is in the right frame of mind and fitness to start against Manchester City.
Kane’s future has dominated the headlines so far this summer. The England skipper is said to be pushing to move to City, with Tottenham and Daniel Levy holding firm so far.

Coincidentally, Spurs take on Man City tomorrow in their season opener in North London. And with Kane’s future and inclusion tomorrow up for debate, The Telegraph has claimed that Nuno Santo will wait until the last minute to make a decision.
The Telegraph claims that Santo will hold talks with Kane tonight. During those talks, the Spurs boss is expected to assess just how ready his striker is to take part.
Kane returned to training this week. It comes after controversy around his return to the club, with reports claiming last week he was refusing to return on time. This, of course, is something Kane has rebuffed.
Huge call for Santo
In a way, this call by Santo could define his era at the club. Should he select Kane, it would suggest the manager is willing to let things go a bit as long as the striker performs.
On the other hand, if Santo drops Kane, it would suggest he’s not scared of the big decisions. And not playing Kane would be the biggest of decisions.
Tomorrow feels like a crucial day for the club. If Kane plays, he faces up to some fans potentially booing him. But, if he plays, and scores, then nobody will be grumbling at the end of the game.
