Report: Spurs starlet Elliot Thorpe wanted by Hoffenheim
Tottenham Hotspur youngster Elliot Thorpe is attracting attention from Hoffenheim, according to a report from The Telegraph.
Thorpe is yet to make his first-team debut for Spurs. However, he has taken a further step forward in his development this season.
He went into this campaign off the back of a year where he only played twice in Premier League 2. This season however, he has featured 18 times in that division.
Thorpe is a player capable of playing in a variety of positions across the midfield. He has played in both holding and attacking midfield, as well as out on the right.
He may be awaiting his first-team debut, but it appears that he is winning admirers.
According to The Telegraph, Hoffenheim are interested in the Wales under-19 international.
It is noted that the Bundesliga side have scouted Thorpe while he has been playing for Spurs and for his country.
TBR View: Hoffenheim move may be tough for Thorpe to turn down
It seems to be becoming increasingly common for young players to move on from their academies to head to German clubs.
So perhaps, Thorpe may find it difficult to turn down a move away from Spurs. He will surely, at the very least, want some assurances over the path to the first-team in North London.
