Tottenham Hotspur are the team showing the most interest in Mikkel Damsgaard, according to a report from Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.

The winger is attracting attention after a fine season with Sampdoria. The 20-year-old has scored twice and contributed four assists in 20 Serie A games.

His record is all the more remarkable given that he has started just 10 times. And there are now a host of high-profile clubs eyeing a future move for the Dane.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Spurs are battling Inter Milan and Juventus for his signature. It is claimed that Jose Mourinho’s men and Juve are in pole position by some way.

Interestingly, the report adds that Tottenham are showing the most interest.

The early signs hint that signing Damsgaard would be a huge coup for Spurs. According to a recent report from JuventusNews24, Sampdoria want £17.5 million for the youngster.

Given the potential he is showing, that could prove to be a bargain. He is a player who is making things happen at the highest level already.

But he is also someone who can play in a number of attacking roles.

There is plenty of time ahead before the summer window opens. But the encouraging news for Spurs fans is that their side seems to be in the driving seat right now.
