Report: Spurs showing most interest in 26-year-old; Paratici in talks to seal loan move
Spurs are one of the sides most keen to sign Pierluigi Gollini this summer but Fabio Paratici is keen to take the goalkeeper on an initial loan deal, according to Calciomercato.
Tottenham certainly need to give some thought to their goalkeeper options this summer.
Calciomercato reports that Hugo Lloris’s deal expires next summer. And he has previously spoken about his plans to resolve his future after Euro 2020.
It seems that Paratici is well aware of the dilemma that lies ahead. According to Calciomercato, he started collecting information on Gollini as soon as he arrived in North London.
And it is claimed that Spurs are one of the sides showing the most interest in the 26-year-old, who is also wanted by Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.
However, agreeing a deal is not going to be a simple task. According to Calciomercato, Paratici wants Gollini on loan. It is claimed that it could even be a two-year deal with an option to buy.
Atalanta meanwhile, want an obligation to buy included. Talks are apparently continuing.
Spurs signing Gollini on loan with option to buy would be masterstroke from Paratici
Gollini’s stock has risen considerably since his previous stint in England. He has done well with Atalanta following his switch from Aston Villa.
So landing him on loan with option to buy would be a potential masterstroke from Paratici.
He will get chances to impress. Spurs are set to battle on several fronts next season. And if he can do well, it may be a no-brainer to keep him next summer.
However, an option would leave Tottenham under no obligation to make the deal permanent. So they can easily start to look elsewhere if a move did not work out.
