According to Calciomercato, Spurs will press ahead with their interest in Fiorentina defender, Nikola Milenkovic, with West Ham and Everton also keen.

Inter Milan are also said to be sniffing around Milenkovic, who has been on the radar of Spurs for some time now.

Fiorentina believe they can raise around £26m by selling Milenkovic this summer. The defender has a contract until 2022 and is yet to renew, meaning this summer is the best chance for the Italians to get big money.

Spurs are said to be keen on Milenkovic. However, they will face competition from other PL sides, with Carlo Ancelotti a known admirer at Everton. David Moyes, too, has also taken a keen interest.

Former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho was a big fan of Milenkovic. Going all the way back to 2018, the former Porto and Man United coach had apparently personally watched the impressive Serbian in action.

But, even with Mourinho out of the door in north London, it seems Spurs are intent on keeping their options open when it comes to Milenkovic.

TBR View: Milenkovic a top player with potential, a good signing for Spurs

Mourinho wanted a new defender at Spurs desperately. Yes, he got Joe Rodon but he wanted that big name signing to build his defence around, and Milenkovic was one of the names mentioned.

If Spurs can still manage to do a deal for the 23-year-old then it would be good business. And at £26m, it’s not a huge amount of money for someone with so much upside.

Spurs should make their move here. Of course, who the new manager is, may well shift the focus again.
