Spurs finally seem to be moving in the right direction.
On Saturday, Tottenham announced the appointment of Fabio Paratici.
Spurs are rumoured to be closing in on Paulo Fonseca, so he could be the next announcement.
There hasn’t been much on the player front, which is little surprise as most of the top footballers are on international duty.
But Spurs are apparently eyeing one such player – France’s Marcus Thuram.

On Wednesday RMC Sport claimed that Spurs have “accelerated negotiations” for the Borussia Monchengladbach ace.
However, Sky Deutschland then reported that the move was far from complete.
Indeed, Thuram’s entourage denied that a move was imminent.
Now, German outlet BILD claims that Spurs will need to bid 40m euros, or around £34m, to test Gladbach’s resolve.
Who is Marcus Thuram?
The 23-year-old is the son of France legend and 1998 World Cup winner Lilian Thuram.
He has carved out an impressive career of his own and looks set for a bright future.
Thuram started his career at Sochaux and earned himself a move to Gladbach in 2019.
He has made 79 appearances for the German club, with 25 goals and 21 assists under his belt.
Thuram’s efforts have helped him make the France squad for Euro 2020.

“Phenomenal”
Dennis Zakaria praised Thuram in 2019 after he scored a late winner against Roma in the Europa League 18 months ago.
“It was so important that Marcus scored that goal today,” said Zakaria, via Bulinews.
“He is a great guy, a little crazy maybe, but what he brings to the pitch is phenomenal.”

Thuram has been great both on the goal front and on the assist front in recent years.
Last term, he bagged 11 goals and 12 assists from 40 games.
And as mentioned before, Thuram’s overall tally at Gladbach reads 79 played, 25 goals and 21 assists.
When you consider that Gladbach are a modest team and he’s just 23, chances are he’s nowhere close to his ceiling.
And depending on how he does for France at Euro 2020, he could well have many more suitors after him come July.
