Report: Spurs preparing loan bid for Wolves' Adama Traore
Spurs are considering a loan move for Wolves winger Adama Traore, as Nuno Santo looks to further increase his options before the window closes.
Traore was integral for Santo at Wolves and was often seen as the game-changer in the team when he was on form. Indeed, a look back at his performance against Manchester United in 2019, is just one shining example.
And now, according to Sky Sports, Traore is on the list of players Spurs are looking to bring in before the end of the month. The winger is thought to be open to leaving Molineux, and Santo is ready to strike if he can.
Traore, although predominantly an attacking winger, can also slot in as a wing-back if needed. His pace, power, and sheer energy ensures defenders never get a minute when he’s on the field.
Wolves are thought to value Traore around the £40m mark. That means a permanent deal is likely to be off the table for now. However, a loan move could work, with Spurs looking to further strengthen Santo’s options.
TBR’s View: Traore a good fit for Spurs but loan is risky for Wolves
Traore would be good for Spurs, for sure. He would give them that direct attacking option out wide which they don’t really have at the moment.
However, the question has to be on Wolves really. Why would they simply loan him to another PL outfit? Unless there is an obligation to buy, it seems a strange deal to do.
Traore, though, would surely relish the chance to go to Tottenham. And the chance to work with Santo again, could also prove a big lure.
