According to a fresh report from 90Min this evening, Spurs still see Brendan Rodgers as their number one choice to succeed Jose Mourinho.
90Min claim that despite the trouble Daniel Levy sees in trying to convince Rodgers to join Spurs, nothing has been ruled out just yet.
It is claimed Levy is prepared to make Rodgers the second highest paid manager in the league, just behind Pep Guardiola. The Manchester City boss is said to earn around £19m a season at The Etihad. That figure puts him some way ahead of some of the other top earners.

But Spurs and Levy have shown they aren’t afraid to throw money about if it means getting who they believe is the right man. Jose Mourinho was on a nice salary himself, so if Levy wants Rodgers, then he might well just pay up.
However, Rodgers has already admitted he is happy in Leicester. Further, 90Min also cite the Foxes’ claim that they’ll match any offer Spurs bring to the table for their boss.
TBR View: Rodgers is perfect but he just won’t leave Leicester, will he?
The problem Spurs have here is Rodgers is building something at Leicester. And whether he’ll see any value in walking away from that is the big stumbling block.
Spurs are an attractive club to manage but then so are Leicester at the moment. Indeed, they’re outperforming the North London side.
So while Rodgers might remain the top target for Daniel Levy, his chances still seem slim when it comes to actually landing him.
