Tottenham Hotspur are preparing a fresh bid for Kyle Joseph in the January transfer window, according to a report from The Sun.

According to The Sun, Joseph rejected Spurs in the summer. It is claimed that Tottenham offered Wigan £150,000 for the forward. They also reportedly put a contract offer on the table before being snubbed.

But it appears that Jose Mourinho’s side have kept the 19-year-old on their radar. The Sun claims that they are plotting another offer for the teenager.

The report suggests that the Latics may need to consider selling more of their players in this window. Of course, Spurs did manage to sign Alfie Devine from the League One side in the summer.

Wigan will have clearly welcomed their win over Burton before the turn of the year. However, they may be cursing their luck as the game saw Joseph bag a superb hat-trick in their final fixture before the window opened.

His first came as he reacted fastest to deflect a shot past the goalkeeper. He then equalised for a second time in the contest with a brilliant turn and strike.

And the treble was completed in the second-half as he produced a delicious flick into the bottom corner.

Having come so close to signing him in the summer, it is little surprise that Tottenham have kept the youngster on their radar.

But perhaps that hat-trick proved to be the moment that Spurs decided that they needed to make a bid in this window.
