In Lewis-Potter, Spurs would be landing one of the best youngsters in English football.

The 21-year-old has shone for the Championship side since making his breakthrough last year.

Lewis-Potter has made 115 appearances for Hull, registering 26 goals and 12 assists.

This season, he has nine goals and four assists from 41 outings in all competitions.

This week, Lewis-Potter could make his international bow after earning an England Under-21 call-up.

Brentford were reportedly close to signing Lewis-Potter for £12million in the January transfer window.

As per the Hull Daily Mail, Acun Ilicali issued a strong hands-off warning after taking over the club.

He said he wouldn’t be interested in selling even if an offer of £20million came in from the Premier League.

Hull youth coach Craig Fagan even made comparisons between Lewis-Potter and Eden Hazard (The Mirror).

“The kid’s a special talent,” former boss Grant McCann told the official Hull website in September 2020.

“Wherever we play him across that frontline, he’ll create and score goals.

“He can be anything he wants to be. He’s quick, he’s getting stronger.

“If you see him physically now compared to where he was this time last year, he’s head and shoulders above in terms of his physique.

“He’s got all the tools to be anything he wants.”
