Tottenham want Jan Oblak to be their long-term successor to captain Hugo Lloris in goal after talks between Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici.
The Evening Standard report that Conte and Paratici have spoken about how they see the goalkeeping future of the club after Lloris leaves.
They say the France captain is expected to leave when his contract expires in 2024 and by the summer, that will be just one season away.
That is why Spurs have already sounded out the Atletico Madrid goalkeeper to see if he wants to join them in the summer.

Tottenham want Oblak
Oblak is now a primary target to be their next starting goalkeeper.
He has a long contract with Atletico Madrid until 2028 but Diego Simeone’s men are prepared to consider allowing him to leave at the end of the season.
A £107 million release clause has been reported in the past but he is expected to be available for far less than that this summer.
Wages could be an issue for Spurs, however, because the report says that Oblak is now one of the top five best-paid players in Spain.
None other than Lionel Messi has expressed his admiration for Oblak last year, saying: “It’s nice to face one another.
“He (Oblak) is one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment, and it’s always good to fight against the best ones.”
Former Spurs defender Kieran Trippier has played with Oblak at Atletico, and has called him ‘unbelievable‘ and a great fit for the Premier League.
