Report: Spurs must beat Milan, Juventus and Roma if they want Dusan Vlahovic
According to reports from Italy, Spurs face a major battle if they want to try and sign Fiorentina star, Dusan Vlahovic, this summer.
Sempre Milan, via Calciomercato, claims that a host of Italian clubs are wanting to now sign Vlahovic. The Fiorentina star is said to be valued at around £43m, although interested parties are hopeful that asking-price will dip.
Spurs are said to be keen on landing Vlahovic this summer. Corriere Fiorentio claimed a few weeks back that Spurs had already made contact with the forward, although Jose Mourinho has since been sacked and things may change.
The impressive Vlahovic, who has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahimovic by some, is clearly a man in-demand. 16 Serie A goals this season have seen his reputation rocket, and Spurs, of course, are always on the lookout for Harry Kane support.
But Juve and Milan’s interest, as well as Roma’s, could well scupper Spurs’ plans. They will, then, need to act quickly if they are going to make a real go at landing Vlahovic.
TBR View: Vlahovic to Spurs unlikely while no manager is in place
And that’s an issue Spurs will face all summer, unless they appoint someone sharpish.
No player will want to join a club where the future is uncertain. Working with and knowing the manager is key for a lot of players and can often sway the decisions of certain footballers.
Vlahovic, as good as he would be for Tottenham, is much more likely to stay in Italy while ever things are rocky in North London.
