Report: Spurs make Matthias Ginter bid; Liverpool also keen
Tottenham Hotspur have made a bid for Matthias Ginter, while Sport Bild has claimed that Liverpool are also interested in the centre-back.
It would be no surprise to see both Spurs and the Reds strengthen their options at the heart of the defence in the coming months.
Football London recently claimed that Tottenham want two centre-backs this summer. Liverpool meanwhile, have endured a nightmare campaign in that position, and they need to make a decision on loanee Ozan Kabak.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Kabak. But Sport Bild has suggested that both clubs are interested in Ginter.
In fact, the report claims that Spurs have stepped up their interest by bidding for the Borussia Monchengladbach star.
Sport Bild adds that Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig also want the 27-year-old.
Ginter has been a fantastic performer for Gladbach. And it was recently suggested by The Athletic that he is expected to leave the Bundesliga side this summer.
The Germany international looks to have taken his game to another level this season. And given his age, it would appear that he is edging towards what could be the peak of his career.
Spurs fans may be encouraged to hear that they have reportedly confirmed their interest with a bid. But it seems that they cannot expect a clear run to his signature.
